About the DVD & Blu-Ray:

Join the crew of GWR 2-8-0 No.2857 and travel between Bridgnorth and Kiddermister, sit back and watch as they tackle the gradients on a crisp, sunny winter’s day. Filmed in 4K, you’re able to witness No.2857 working hard through Shropshire and Worcestershire from a whole new prospective.

Whilst watching this product, you’re able to follow No.2857 from a series of different angles, including onboard the footplate, smokebox handrails, the front lamp bracket and from the motion gear.

Footage is also included from the lineside, showcasing No.2857 at several different viewpoints along the Severn Valley Railway, filmed over the last 10 years.

Multiple viewing options are available when watching the DVD / Blu-Ray, these include:

Option 1: Sit back and watch the action from the footplate, from several different camera angles including the lineside. You’ll travel southbound from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster. This option includes short titles informing you of key locations and the gradient profile along the route.
Option 2: Similar to the previous option, however this option doesn’t feature the lineside action, titles and gradient profile information.
Option 3: Take in the picturesque scenery as you pass through Shropshire and Worcestershire, this option allows you to watch from the front lamp bracket, unedited for the full trip between Bridgnorth and Kidderminster.

Copies are available in UK (PAL) 16:9 widescreen format. Footplate filming was completed on the 26th December 2023, by Steaming Around Yorkshire. This product is a 2-disc DVD / Blu-Ray. No running commentary is featured, short titles informing you of key locations and the gradient profile are included throughout.
