SHIRLEY HORNBY

We recently heard the terribly sad news that 2857 Volunteer Phil Hornby's wife, Shirley Hornby, passed away unexpectedly on 20th April 2019. Shirley held a number of volunteering roles on the Railway, primarily based at Hampton Loade where she was a leading light in maintaining the station gardens. The family spent many years helping in the operation of the station’s ‘Paddock Railway’ which, coupled with Shirley’s National Trust interests, resulted in a busy volunteering life. We send our sincerest condolences to Phil and his family and friends at this sad time.
