Introducing the 2857 ‘Wheel-y Good Raffle’

The 2857 Society, in partnership with the Severn Valley Railway Company Ltd, is delighted to launch our brand-new fundraising initiative – the ‘Wheel-y Good Raffle’.

As many of you will know, 2857 is currently set to undergo overhaul. One of the biggest tasks we face is the replacement of all eight driving wheel tyres, a job with a projected cost of £37,500. Without these tyres, 2857 cannot return to traffic on the Severn Valley Railway. It is an essential investment in her future, and the sooner we reach our fundraising target, the sooner we can place the order and see 2857 steaming once again.

That’s where the ‘Wheel-y Good Raffle’ comes in. Every ticket purchased will help bring us closer to our goal, with all proceeds (after costs) going directly into the fund for the new tyres.

3rd Prize: £300.00 cash
4th Prize: £150.00 cash
5th Prize: £75.00 cash
Plus 5 prizes of £28.57 cash – a little nod to our famous locomotive!
